What is Earth Science?
Earth Science is the study of the earth and the universe beyond the earth. Since Earth Science involves the study of all earths features, it's really an integration of the natural sciences - Biology, Chemistry and Physics.
Biology, Physics and Chemistry
are referred to as natural sciences. Biology is the study of life,
Physics is the study of forces and energy and Chemistry is the study of
the composition and structure of matter.
What are the Branches of Earth Science?
The major branches of Earth Sciences are --
1. Astronomy--The study of the planets, stars and other interstellar bodies
2. Geology -- The study of rocks that comprise the solid part of the earth
3. Meteorology -- The study of the atmosphere and atmospheric conditions
4. Oceanograply -- The study
of the ocean, the ocean floor and ocean life
